RESOUNDING SILENCE

The absence of memories from the house where I grew up was why I created this series of artwork. The past, though often vague, lives within us as we once lived in it.

While creating these works of art, I felt the need to recall the image of my house, to discover my memories inside other interior spaces —an idea, a familiar composition.

As I achieved this goal through painting, I primarily used painting materials. However, as I progressed, the need to use more tangible materials emerged —the need to include a piece of the house itself. Thus, cement, sand, tile powder, and fabric were added to the canvas.
